About

The Maritime and Civil Delivery Group was established in 2020. Lead by Director, Andy Hartley, who has 25 years experience in the Maritime industry and is a qualified Naval Architect Engineer. Andy also has 10 years experience working as a coastal/asset engineer and project manager for both the private and public sectors in NSW and QLD.

Andy has experience in delivering 30+ dredging campaigns, 50+ breakwater/rock revetment campaigns, 30+ marina/harbour/boat ramp infrastructure installation/repairs, numerous AtoN servicing/installations, salvages, boat yards and contamination remediation projects.

Andy is also a dual ticketed Captain (Master Class IV) and Engineer (MED 2) with seatime and experience running and operating tugs, ferry’s, yachts (delivery and sail training), charter vessels, bunker barges, construction barges, dredges and high speed commercial vessels.

Andy also has qualifications and experience working in boat yards (operating Marine straddle carriers, slipways, hardstand management, vessel project management, maintenance, antifouling, structural/non-structural upgrades, survey inspections) and Marina management (including upgrades, design and client relations/compliance/account keeping software).

Maritime and Civil started with vehicle, plant and work vessel acquisitions which was used on Private, Corporate and Government projects. During this time, Andy noticed a shortfall in the industry between practical community users, marina/boat yard/vessel operators, commercial supporting industry and Government. From this disconnect in the industry, Maritime and Civil Delivery Group evolved.

The inhouse Maritime and Civil Plant and equipment asset portfolio has grown to include multiple dredges, barges, work boats, excavators, trucks, lifting equipment and several yards accross QLD and NSW. With this growth more suitably qualified resources have been brought onboard to deliver high quality and respectible projects.

Maritime and Civil is a project delivery company which partners with clients to assist them with all aspects from project inception to project delivery.

Maritime and Civil has an extensive highly experienced, selective, expert network of service providers we work with.

Our team understands the complex behaviour of coastal systems and the importance of working with natural processes rather than against them. With a proven track record in coastal protection, maritime construction, and asset management, combined with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) accredited systems, Maritime and Civil Delivery Group is ideally placed to deliver high-quality, low-impact solutions tailored to each unique coastal site
